Casa Aeolian is sited on the rugged coastline along the Bass Coast in Victoria.
Expanding on conventional building practices, the house utilises traditional commercial construction techniques.
Casa Aeolian takes its identity from the concrete, earth and stone structures carved into the steep, rocky terrain of the
Aeolian Islands in southern Italy, rooted in a sensation of permanence and solidity.
The pigmented precast concrete structure is a direct reference to our client's grandfather’s house in Alicudi [the smallest of the
Aeolian islands, situated on the north coast of Sicily].
